BT Merlin 3200 / Cheetah Plus Telex information

#1

Beitrag von M1ECY » Do 28. Sep 2017, 21:23

I am looking for some information on this machine - it was very cheap on eBay (5 GBP!)

I have no idea what it does, or can do, but thought it was worth buying for some fun

I know it is English, but does anyone here know anything about them?

Thanks
Sean

Well, not going to be much progress on this until I can find a keyboard I think. I have repaired a fault in the monitor that was stopping it from powering up, but other than that, there is not anything of real interest happening with the main board inside the machine.

It knows there is no line connected, and the power lamp illuminates, but that is it.

Anybody have any suggestions on where I might find a suitable keyboard, it has a 7 pin DIN connector, and looks very similar to an IBM AT type keyboard.
