Communication Day - Amberley Museum - UK

The Amberley Museum will be having it's annual Communication Day on Sunday 17th August.

I-Telex will be there, and this will be the official launch of Telex services from the Connected Earth display.

Initially there will be two Creed Model 7 machines and a Creed 444 on line - Certainly connections should be availaible on

87458

Maybe also 87432.

I will also take along my mobile system, as a back up, and perhaps as a way of demonstrating PC to Telex communication using J-Term.

Assuming I can make that work again, the J-Term System should be on 459724.

David Waters (G8LHS) will be able to add extra detail, but I hope we will be open and ready for business 10AM UK time on Sunday.

We will be setting everything up tomorrow afternoon, so feel free to give us a shout if you feel able to.

Just a short update from me.

Certainly 2 machines online, on 831370 and 87458, though answerback will not match the numbers as yet.

We will be open to the public from 10am

David has an interview with the local BBC news program first thing this morning which will go out live.

Hopefully we get a busy day with lots of visitors.

Please keep trying to call in. We should have a machine spare. We will try to get 87342 working this morning, but have had a lot of problems with English FSG

Hi Everybody...

Today was a great success with lots of interest not ony from the general public, but 2 or 3 people were genuinely interest in getting i-Telex. Sean Williams and I were kept busy all day long with calls to ChatGPT, to other service codes, and to other i-Telex members. Thanks to all those of you that took the time to call us and wish us well. We have a bit of work to do before Amberley Museum is fully operational, but we've made an excellent start!

I did an interview on BBC local radio on the Sunday morning before we opened...
