Hello Everyone,

My name is Ruud and my Ham call is PD0RH. I am working on restoring the Radio room on board of the ex HNLMS Hoogeveen a former minesweeper. We have a Sagem TX20 and a Siemens T1000 and a Siemens Lochstreifen sender T61 (I think).

We have an URA-17 RTTY converter wich consists of 2 CV68. Our goal is to recieve RTTY messages from Offenbach (Pinneberg) and/or Brecknell.

Sagem TX20 : Everything is working sofar except when I want to type something in "local" the printerhead goes all the way to the right side and then the error and maintenance leds are burning. I do have printing paper, punch paper and ink in the telex. I do not know what is going on at this time...suggestions are very welcome.

Siemens T1000 : Local typing goes fine as well as reading a punch tape. Except when I want to make a punchtape the puncher shoots letters and will not stop, this happens when i push down the little black button on top of the puncher. When I release it by pushing the little button bolow the top one the punching of letters will stop. Also here I do not know what is going on and would appreciate some help on the matter.

The goal is to receive rtty via shortwave radio 50bd 170hz shift and polarity is normal on both weather stations...

Thank in advance for the support

Hello Ruud,

welcome to the telexforum ...

At the moment, I have no ideas on your TTY problems, but I'm sure, you 'll find some assistance here from other members.

Enjoy the forum and have fun :D

Hello Ruud,

welcome to the forum. For the T1000 there should be enough knowledge here - the sagem wasn't installed in Germany.

Have Fun!

Hallo Helge und Franz,

I am going forward with the Siemens T1000 then and will try to get it to work on RTTY reception via short wave radio.
The only thing I would like is to change out the buchstabenbrett because i am missing the letter E.

Danke für die reply

Hello Ruud,
only for Info: What happens, if you turn the T-1000 on, press a key, example "J" and then turn the puncher on ? Does it shoot "JJJJJJJJJJ" or also only letters ? Tnx.

Hi Ruud,
is you QTH located in Julianadorp ? I visited the village some years ago and had a look to Den Helders Maritime Museum.
I myself playes around with DWD weather broadcast receptions in the past.

Best regards
Frank
