Hello all.
My name is Tomas Larsson, living i Sweden.
I have just aquired an old Teletype model 3321.
The problem I have is to identify what unit I really have, since the Electrics differs quite a lot from the drawings/images I have seen i various documents.

There is 4 circuit bords in slots, with edge contacts, in front of the circuitbords there is a transformer.
The Molex contacts, number 2 and 3 are un-populated, i.e the whole contact house is missing.
Position 1 seems to connect to external data, and number 5 to two switches on the face-plate (actually 4 switches but only 2 is connected).
The circuit bords are marked as follows, starting with board closest to the front:

Board #1 Teleprint BS 230 Connects with a header contact at the bottom
Board #2 Teleprint BS 263 Connects with a header contact at the bottom
Board #3 Must be powersupply for reader etc
Board #4 Teleprint BS 270 Connects with a header contact at the bottom
There is allso a small board mounted upside down in the base between board 3 and 4.

On the marking label it says ”Model 3321 3WF” I amn not sure about those 3 last letters though, since they are difficult to read.

Does anyone have any clue what I got?

Hi Tomas, can you please post some more pictures - ones showing the keyboard, and any other detail.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to I-Telex.

Sean

Will do.
I didn't take any photo of card#3, since it seems to be the reader Power supply

Hi Tomas,

At the rear of the machine, below the motor, on the back panel, there should be a manufacturer's plate, giving the actual model number.

It certainly looks like a serious project

It says Type 3321 3WF (i'm not sure of the last 2-3 digits/letters, since they are quite un-readable)
Well, yes, it certanly would be a Heavy Project.
Just realised, that the H-plate might be missing.

Hi Tomas, welcome here!
As already mentioned on Greenkeys, it is the export version for Europe of the Teletype model 33ASR.
The German importer company Teleprint made its own control boards.
Have a look at some restoration reports about a Teleprint 390 (unfortunately in German)
here in the forum. The Teleprint 390 uses the model 33 mechanics inside a custom made
case. I call it a "Germanized" model 33 :)
There are also schematics available.

Teleprint both sold model 33ASR in original case as yours and also Teleprint 390 with
custom made case. But electronics for all machines imported by them were made by Teleprint in Germany.

Ok, thanks.
I have been studying the schematics for the 390.
It would seem to that the BS230-board is the computer interface with 20mA currentloop, my guess is that it is connected to molex socket #1
To molex socket #4 there is tWo switches with lamps called "Schritt" and "Motor" in the schematics, I have one Green and One Yellow switch in the faceplate (cant remember whats written on them), what are thay for?

Wondering if the round cut-outs in the face palet was intended for an accustic modem.

Question regarding the Teleprint 390 Schematic I found here.
In the schematic there is something called SFK 26R connected between the keyboard and the printer.
Does anyone know what it is?
