Hi All,

I am certain that this is covered in a manual somewhere, but I will ask the question in English here.

I now have 4 working I-Telex compatible machines, but at present only one active connection.

So, what I want to know is, how do I set these extra machines up as either an extension to my normal number, or can I assign these machines a different number that will allow I-Telex to route the call to the correct machine?

Hi Sean,
we can register all of your machines with different dialing numbers.
What you have to do:
a) Send me a list of your printers including:
- type of machine
- answer back text (if present)
- favorized number (shall be the same as the number in the answerback text)
- local number in your i telex.
b) set up your ethernet card to allow "call-trough":
- menu items: i-Telex (englisch) - i-Telex settings - local settings
- enter your local password
- enter in the field "Secondary call numbers list (separate by comma):"
-- EITHER a list of the local numbers of your machines like 13,31,50,44,- (due to a bug you have to add the komma and the dash at the end)
-- OR just enter a hash # to allow call-through to all your interfaces
-- OR enter a hash followed by a list of local numbers NOT allowed for call-thruough, like #81,82,83,-

That's all...
Because i could check a part of your system remotely here is an additional recommendation:
You set the "outside number" of your ethernet card to 0 and you have a machine interface card which uses the local number 06.
Currently you cannot reach the 06 locally because after dialling the first 0 your ethernet card would "occupy" the dialling attempt.
So either select a different number for your ethernet card (like 1) or select a different local number for the interface currently using the 06.

It is NOT possible to use the local (extension) numbers together with your "main" number 459724 like dialing 459724-13.

A very comprehensive reply.

Yes, I can see how my dialling 0 for an "outside line" would cause the system problems - I will change that now.

At present I would like to try this with one machine (I do not have the answer back numbers for the other machines as yet)

So for now can I add 666507 JONAB G - A BT Cheetah 85 - I will have to work out the local number and let you know.

Just use the menu item „list of modules“ at the web page of the ethernet board.
All marked with 80 are Interfaces.
Those with 00 are currently deactivated.

Status of all connected hardware modules:

At present, and ready to be connected is

666507 Jonab G - BT Cheetah 85 (TW39 interface)
350470 J-Term Sean G - J-Term (USB)
459724 Sean G - TeKaDE FS200 (TW39 Interface)

Super. And now i need the correlation between the numbers 06, 13, 31 and 50 to the list of the answerback ID.
Just use one of our machined and dial the two-digit numbers.

Okay Frank, this I will do tomorrow - I forgot that I had not wired all of the output sockets to the back plane - this explains why I cannot get the circuits to work

I would not use a 0x number as an extension.
I would start extension numbers from 10 and use 0 and 9 for dialling out to external.

Everything is possible. I use 1 for „outcall“.

Okay, so how do I assign "new" numbers to the modules?
