RFT F2000 out of the box problems

Hello Friends,
Hope I write to the appropriate section.
An F2000 machine I try to use first time.
The machine is functional, can work in local mode.
I face to several problems here.
Could you give me some hints to start with?

1. version
Can you help me in identifying the version of the panel? The machine was produced around 1986. (The military hand book was translated and printed in that year). Versions of AS 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 is mentioned here.

2. communication connector
The machine has 8 pins as to its connector without any numbering. Is there an available drawing of PIN identification you may share?

3. Now the up-left corner yellow LED is blinking as the machine is not connected to any other active device. A design of an electronic circuit good for "imitate" an active communication line would be a great help. I may try if transmitting function works.

4. My plan is to connect the machine to a military transceiver through mic/phone connections. Any of my friends here may have an experience with that way of transmitting?

5. mini batteries
The machine needs two batteries seems run out of stock in my country (or worldwide?). Do you have an idea of any shop?

6. passwort protection of transmission mode lock
I cannot decide if the machine is protected by a password or not.
Is there a predefined passwort for each machine or it can be set (and changed) individually by operator? The handbook is not detailed about this topic. It says if the operator wants to activate the protection it can be done in programming mode. Does it mean that I can set a new password or I can use one predefined password only?
Was the machine in protected mode when the factory released it?
Does the password protection work without batteries (has it got a battery-dependent memory if this kind) after I turn off the machine? Or it forgets password without batteries?

That is how I did so far:
I tried to use programming mode 04 according to handbook. Machine printed: "04" and "SEND ON/OFF".
I keyed a password combination of "1234T" as my password then pushed a "space".
I set the password lock into inactive mode with sending "ON".
After pushing ? button it did not print "ON" but "*?" symbols.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you, Tamas HA5NKG , Ungarn

Hi Tom, welcome to the forum ..

unfortunately I' am not owner of a F2000, but can help you with the ident of the numbering of the communication plug.

Here is a photo the 8-pin SOCKET, so the numbering of the 8-pin PLUG is the other way round....

I think, other members of the forum can help you to answer the further questions ....

Hello Franz,
thank you for your help.
I am fine with the socket numbering thanks to your comments.
I checked out the transmitter circle of socket 1-2, it is around 64 Volts. The machine probably functions.

Also found the version number inside the panels: it is AS 02.
