Problem calling with T100S

My T100S has stopped dialing out. It can receive just fine. There are four mechanical relays on the right side.

When I connect the machine to the TW39 port, the top relay energizes and closes.

When a call comes in, the top relay opens and the second and third relays close.

As I remember, pressing the call button should also open the top relay and the second one should close. But this is not happening. When I press the button nothing happens. It worked fine for the months since I put it into service and then suddenly stopped working right after I printed off a few Bardot art Christmas pictures.

I have cleaned all the contacts.

Can someone help me diagnose this further?

Thank you

Hallo Paul,

Could it be again the problem with Jumper 5-6 in the 8-pin ADo-Socket?

Hi Andreas. I took the cover off and was looking at the contacts closely and did not see any problems. As before, the T100S worked in local mode but the call button (Amtstaste) was still not working (no light, and the relay would not change its position). I kept switching between pressing he local mode button, turning it off, and then trying the call (Amtstaste) button. The call button (Amtstaste) swill would not work. The local button always worked.

What happened next is hard to explain, and I hope the translation to German is ok. The machine was running in local mode and I pressed the button to turn off the T100S. While the motor was slowing down I accidentally pressed the call button (Amtstaste) and it engaged the printer mechanism for some seconds as the motor slowed down. After this happened, the call button is now working and the entire machine is working as it should.

I cannot explain it. Maybe it is coincidence. But the T100S is working again perfectly and I really have no idea why. And that is frustrating because I did not do anything to repair it.

Thank you for your instructions. Should the problem happen again, I will follow them to diagnose what is wrong. But for now all is good and I am very happy.
