Bringing up a T1000S

Dear forum members!
I recently acquired a Siemens T1000S machine, in okay conditions. I started the bring-up process, and had some limited success:
- By connecting pin 5-6 on the ADO-8 connector the machine is now stopped blinking the online led
- I was able to print diagnostic information using code 39. Monitor also working

However, when I try to switch the machine to online mode, the fan and the light came alive then after 3 seconds, it goes back to idle mode. Please see the video for visual clue:

My question:
- Is there any documentation in any language(but preferably in English) that explains the diagnostic results for code 39
- Do you have any clue about the "unable to local mode" issue I wrote in above
- Do you have any documentation or schematics for the machine in the forum? I tried the search functionality, but with google translate, it seems like I was out of luck.

Welcome to the Forum.
You have to initialize your T1000S, but you need for that a Service plug. Without it, the behavior is normal.
The diagnostig print loocks OK. Here are manuals for it, but you are as new member not verified, but when you need some to work on it, the chances are good that you can get some. After some time you can get verified.

I'm very relieved that the diagnostic print looks OK.
I read about this service plug here: https://telexforum.de/viewtopic.php?p=19652#p19652 is this the same?
Should it be connected here?

Yes, the service plug is same for all T1000S and T1200 series machines.

You need it for any programming in "engineering mode".

Hi DF3EO!

Thanks for the info! I managed to set-up the device in the following way:
- Connect pin 1 and pin 20 on the service connector with a wire
- Enter code 99

After this the device is operating smoothly in local mode.
- Writing and reading the disk
- Writing to device memory
- Printing

The next step will be connecting it to a pi-Telex based interface

Yes, this particular machine was already edited by somebody in the past, and he replaced the batteries with an external one. See the image:

- How can you set the date?
- How can you set the machine ID?

Oh, interesting. My has a new Lithium and NI-MH akku.
