Incoming connection problem

Hello All,

I am trying to set up my "Mobile I-Telex" system for an upcoming show next month.

I have followed the instructions in the Wiki, and I am using telexgateway.de as the subcriber server - On speaking with Henning, it seems that this option os the best for simpicity, and checking the forum for other problems like this, also solves the problem with LTE connections.

When I dial into 299709 I get an automated message from I-Telex saying subscriber not allowed.

I can dial up the machines from the local extensions and the machine takes incoming calls this way, but not from the outside world.

So, I have a Teltonika RUT950 4G (LTE) router, I have removed the port forwarding rule as set up for normal server operation.

The SIM is a pay monthly sim, and I get a good connection that is very stable.

Settings for the Ethernet card are as far as I can tell correct.

Subscriber Number is 299709
Pin set to a number that seems to work with no error messages
Public internal port was left blank, but defaults to 1
Dynamic Update box left un checked
loopback test set at 45
Permanent server connection is checked
Server address is telexgateway.de

What am I doing wrong?

Regards
Sean

The Entry 299709 also includes the Number 30 as "extension".
Either ask me to change this extension to "no extension" or include the 30 in the list of allowed extensions in your system. The latter possibility also needs that the connected interface actually uses the extension 30 for incoming calls.

Hi Fred, does no extension then mean that it will route to any available extension?

Currently I have J-Term on ext 30 and T68 (920429) on 31

The incoming call will be directed to the "Internal call number of primary teleprinter for incoming calls:" of your settings in "local module configuration".
If the checkbox above this entry is ON, the number won't change.
If the checkbox is off, the "primary printer" is always that port you have used for the latest outgoing call. So then the i-telex has a kind of "follow me" function.

Okay, let's try the no extension option - Once I get two way communication working from external sources, I can tidy up extension allocation - I plan to have two machines on display, so hope to have all of this set up and tested soon.

With much thanks to Fred, the problem is solved - Seems I had somehow confused the subscriber server with a pin change (certainly don't remember doing this) :)
