Eurocard hardware

Hi All,

Im sure this topic has been covered before, but I do not have the German to enable a search.

When assembling the housings and cards, there is a need for a spacer strip for the Eurocard system to allow the backplane to sit correctly in the housing - this is not easily available in the UK - can anyone suggest a source (or even an STL file for 3D printing :) )

Likewise front panel mounting brackets are difficult to source (at hobby prices) I wonder if anyone has printed these yet?

Many Thanks
Sean

Hello Sean,

I hope I understood your question correctly.
If you are using the "standard housing" no spacers are required. All required parts are linked in following thread.

Unfortunately it's all in German and the links are referring to a German supplier. I hope you will find a suitable one in the UK.

Hi Wolfgang,

Yes, I have already built a system using the standard housing - these are no longer available to the UK market.

I now use surplus NVent Schroff enclosures, these do require the spacers, but again not very common (or affordable) in the UK.

Thanks for the reply - I am really hoping that someone has been busy with the 3D printer :)

Hello Sean,

Afaik Reichelt delivers to the UK , too.
They have a special phone number for UK customers: https://www.reichelt.de/reicheltpedia/i ... britannien

Alternatively, If you travel to the Maker Faire in Hannover, i can order what you need and we exchange items and money in Hannover.

Kind regards

Thanks Michael,

I will take a look at Reichelt again - last time I tried to order, they would not allow it.
