Transport Lo133

Hallo zusammen.
Ich werde in geraumer Zeit auch beim I-Telex mitspielen.
Als Fernschreiber wirds wahrscheinlich ein Lo133 im Holz Standgehäuse.
Nun zu meinem Problem. Ich muss das gute Ding irgendwie vom momentanen Standort zu mir nach Hause bringen.
In der Theorie steht mir ein Anhänger zur Verfügung, allerdings ist damit das Parken am Abholort nur sehr schwer.
Zudem habe ich kein PKW in dem ich das Teil stehend transportieren könnte.
Jetzt zu meiner Frage:
Kann ich den Fernschreiber auch im liegen im Kofferraum/auf der umgeklappten Sitzbank transportieren?
Oder macht das Innenleben das nicht mit?
Würde natürlich die Unterlage etwas auspolstern. Nur hab ich leider von der Mechanik im inneren noch nicht genug Ahnung,
um bewerten zu können wie umsetzbar das ganze ist.
Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen und ich freue mich auf eure Antworten!

Hello, sorry for the reply in English.
I would suggest that the machine can be removed from the cabinet - this will make the cabinet lighter and easier to handle.
Then, with care, there should be no reason not to lay the cabinet down.
If you try to do this with the machine in place, I think damage will certainly happen.

Ja, die Maschine kann zerlegt werden. Auf jeden Fall kann und sollte die Maschine selbst aus dem Standgehäuse herausgenommen werden.
Ich möchte dir nicht gleich Angst machen, aber ein Lo133 ist in der Regel nicht unbedingt die richtige Einsteigermaschine.
Such hier einfach.mal nach Lo133 im Forum. Dort sind alle "Krankheiten" beschrieben
Aber trotzdem viel Spaß hier im Forum und hoffentlich später mit i-Telex!

Ah gut das macht das ganze natürlich deutlich einfacher.
Ja das dachte ich mir tatsächlich schon. Hab mich schon etwas belesen und vor allem vor dem Riemen graust es mir. Allerdings bekomme ich den Fernschreiber geschenkt deswegen wirds wahrscheinlich dieser werden.
Welche Krankheiten gibts denn noch außer dem Riemen und dem Netzfilter? Mehr ist mir noch nicht groß aufgefallen.

Ja stimmt das hatte ich auch schon gelesen.
Den Zustand konnte ich nur noch nicht kontrollieren. Die Haube ist noch von einem Commodore PET blockiert...
An wen kann ich mich am besten wenden falls ich eine neue brauche, bzw ein neues Gummi?
Hab zwar schon hier davon gelesen, nur bin ich aus dem Websiten der Firmen die das anbieten nicht schlau geworden
.

The punch tape reader drive belt on the Lo133 is strange - I will explain.
This machine was developed with ITT Creed. Creed was an English company, building Teleprinters since the 1930s, They have a model called the 444 - the Lo133 shares a lot of similarities in design, and even some parts are the same.
Now for the odd thing. The English machine uses a metric standard drive belt for the tape reader drive - this is simple to buy from many industrial supply companies.
The Lo133 however has an imperial drive belt, which is unobtainable - not a problem when the belt is working, but it will fail - Both the 444 and the Lo133 have exactly the same problem.
Changing the belt is not a simple task either.
I am almost certain that the English belt will not fit, but I would behappy to send you one if you need it to try.
Let's see this machine, and help you get it working - im sure we can come up with solutions to all problems.

Oh yeah ive read about the Belt problems. But damn that mixup of Belts is weird. Bet the Designers were drunk...
I couldnt open the Machine yet but im sure it wont last long...
Ive just ordered a few of the Belts that were recommended for performing the Belt Hack. Luckily they are easily obtainable and really cheap.
I think im gonna try the Hack first but thanks for the offer Sean! I will surely come back to it if needed.
Still gotta figure out how to remove the Reader tho. I couldnt see the Guts of the Machine up close yet, but when i do it will help a lot i bet.
