Rotary dial dimensions

Hi,
I started working on "Non rotary dial" to simulate rotary dials with buttons in the shape of a rotary dial
and I want it to be compatible with old rotary dials, but I can't find any documentation with dimensions.
I've noticed, that the dials have mostly the same shape and size including mounting holes for screws, but
I couldn't find any norm or datasheet.
If anyone has any info on that it would be greatly appreciated.

In the end I would like to make the whole FSG, but buildable using current components.

Thanks,
Fabien

Čau Fabiene,

Siemens patented the principle of the rotary dial ("Nummernschalter"), but the patent doesn't contain dimensions. Perhaps Siemens had an internal norm for their dials which is also not publicly available. I doubt that dials of Non-German manufacturers are compatible.
If you want the rough dimensions of a W48 dial I can measure it for you with a caliper. Since such dials are still broadly available it's not worth the effort.

Maybe this thread is interesting for you (Google Translate may help you to understand):

Not to rain on your parade - but the swiss rotary dials have the "0" on the six-o-clock position.
