Hi,
I'm restoring Creed 7B/CTK and I'm looking for the right oils and greases.
I have original documentation in Czech, which is recommending the same stuff as for model 7B,
but I can't find any suitable alternatives that don't require buying 20L of it.
I've managed to find grease n.4 equivalent Grease LV 2-3, but not the others.
Here are the recommendations for Creed 7B.

Any help with choosing the right equivalents would be greatly appreciated.

Speaking as an enthusiast, and with a fair bit of Creed experience, any oil is better than no oil

You won't get the original grades, so if you are really worried about it, I would suggest the following

Spindle oil is more commonly known as Hydraulic oil these days, 32 weight is a light oil, 46 or 68 weight is medium.

32 is used in all hydraulic equipment, such as excavators, and lifting equipment.

46 or 68 weight is normally used as compressor oil

In any case, I only use 32 weight oil here, and have had no problems

You might get more opinions on Greenkeys mailing list there are a lot of "Experts" there

Cheers

I also just restored a CREED 7B. I used the same lubricants as for the TELETYPE Model 15 restoration.
Namely:
- Thin oil - Clock Oil #140B (Oil is yellow)
- Slightly thicker (including the oil pots) LUCAS High performance Synthetic Fork Oil Medium 10WT (Oil is green)
- Grease - AeroShell Grease 22 MIL-PRF-81322G General purpose synthetic grease for aircraft (Grease is orange)
- Grease - Lucas X-TRA Heavy Duty Grease Wheel Bearing Grease (grease is green)

All the best with the restoration
