Dear iTelex folks,

At Cryptomuseum we are analysing the Rohde&Scharz GA082 Telex Analyzer. It is not a demodulator, but an FSK analyser to analyse received FSK signal from (radio) demodulator. It had lots of secret modes, of some we already have published here:

https://www.cryptomuseum.com/telex/rs/ga082/
The picture is from the cartridges we found recently: Secret modes that can be FSK analysed by the GA082. :o

We found out that the Transtel printer has a variant to enable to print Cyrillic. This is -if we are correct- the Transtel AH.11.H type printer. This one could be connected directy to the GA082 to print out messages.

As of today we are able to receive Russian marine info's. But we cannot show cyrillic because we don't know how the printer translate the serial HEX info to Cyrillic characters. We hope that someone here has more info about this.

To have a glimpse of how the printer looks:

Many thanks from Marc and Paul of the Cryptomuseum

Hello Marc and Paul,

I have one in my collection. ;)

I can lend it to you for analyzing and photographs.
I am sure there are still some around. They went to surplus market through eBay about 20 years ago.

Hi Henning,

Great that you have one! (Ahum... what could I expect else :D )
For the AH.11.H we need the translate table from ASCII to Cyrillic. Can you have a look if you have this in your doc and send us a copy of this table in a message? This is all we need now for further analysis of the GA082 :streck:
Would be absolutely great !

Cheerio from Marc & Paul
