Hi folks, yet another very basic question
What is the correct way to determine who is currently available "online" - for example, for an i-Telex conversation?
thank you and best wishes
Andy
Hi Andy
if your question regards the "real" i-Telex with the noisy equipment, then there is an unwritten "law" your Teleprinter should be online 24/7
But in real life, not everybody does it, so to find out if somebody is reachable, just dial the number and you will get (maybe) some answer if you are lucky, most of the time the i-Telex is not surveyed 24/7 so a chat in real-time with a teleprinter will be considered "only in rare occasions"
My RFT F2000 is 24/7/365 online but despite of that I can't answer you every time you may call me, but you can leave a message and I will respond within 24h normally
Wish you good luck with your i-Telex
