Re: czech version of t100 set up
Hallo Balasz,

Re: czech version of t100 set up
Hello Andreas!
Thanks for the good tip!
Originally I measured 750 Ohm between a--c
After engaging the paper switch, I jumped to 22 kOhm
For reference, I paste an image here how it should be done, maybe useful for somebody else too: After this change the following is different:

Originally I measured 750 Ohm between a--c
After engaging the paper switch, I jumped to 22 kOhm
For reference, I paste an image here how it should be done, maybe useful for somebody else too: After this change the following is different:
- The led red is constantly blinking on the TW39 card
- The online lamp is not lit after power up
- No matter the T100 is powered or not, the relay SZ is engaged
- I made a video on the non-deterministic behavior of the relays after pressing online-offline buttons multiple times. See it here:
- If I change the polarity of the TW39 wires, the machine starts and cannot be switched taken offline. So I assume polarity is fine

Re: czech version of t100 set up
Hello Balazs,
To configure the card you need to press the button on the card and run the configuration on the teleprinter.
I have no clue, how to run the configuration without a teleprinter. If you have a double TW39 card, you can try remove the processor of the unused port.
Thank you for sharing the video. I watched it several times in slomo. Comparing it with the description of Andreas in post #18 I see, your relay "W" does not close except for a short period at the end of the video. Please check your components in your FSG, especially around relay "W". Intermittent contacts are sometimes hard to find.
That indicates that your TW39 is not configured properly or you have two cards using the same internal extension number.
To configure the card you need to press the button on the card and run the configuration on the teleprinter.
I have no clue, how to run the configuration without a teleprinter. If you have a double TW39 card, you can try remove the processor of the unused port.
That is great, that means you have line current. Your teleprinter is connected correctly to the interface card.

Re: czech version of t100 set up
Hello Wolfgang!
I was not aware that the card needs configuration too - i can connect it to my other teleprinter, and run the configuration there. However it seems to be in German - do you know if there is a way to switch over to English configuration menu?

Re: czech version of t100 set up
The set-up menues for the boards are ONLY in German. But it is very basic and should be
easy to understand even when you have no German skills.
I have an Finnish T1000S, language is same as Hungarian for a German. I can tell you, that's a challenge.

Re: czech version of t100 set up
What is even more interesting ----
On TW39 interface #1: the configuration menu is displayed normally on the teleprinter(the working one, T1000S), but in german. I left everything unchanged
After I connect the T1000s teleprinter to TW39 interface #2, and long press the button on it: the teleprinter starts, the blue led is blinking on the interface card, but nothing was print out on the teleprinter.

Re: czech version of t100 set up
Hello Balazs,
I'm a bit confused now because I thought the T1000S - the one with the screen, right? - is an electronic teleprinter and uses already an ED1000 interface.
The T100 usually uses the TW39 interface. Both interfaces are not interchangeable.
Maybe you can explain your hardware configuration of your i-telex, I don't want to give you wrong advice.
I can check the setup menue of the interface card and provide you a translation here. Give me a moment.

Re: czech version of t100 set up
Basically all electronic machines could be fitted with any line interface depending on the particular Telex network
it was connected to.
Of course German machines were equipped mit ED1000 line interface, but e.g. Austrian and Finnish had a V.21 interfaces
and others (like Netherlands) had TW39 current loop interfaces. All was available.
I would guess that Hungary kept the old TW39 system until the end of Telex.

Re: czech version of t100 set up
Hi Wolfgang!
Many thanks for the translation!
Regarding my T1000S: this is a "strange" machine - it has TW39 interface card installed in it. I think because the majority of the Hungarian telex network used the old current loop technology.
And what is even better, there is a solution why the machine was not receiving anything, but was able to send from it: I misplaced one of the optocouplers on the TW39 board - see the picture for reference again a stupid user error on my side. At least an easy fix. So to conclude, the machine is working, the TW39 card is working, I can create local connections between the two machines, calling working from every direction. I can even do an outgoing connection
Many thanks for all of you for your help!
ps.: It's time to find a third machine
