Hi Frank,
I'm going to disagree with your last post, and for these reasons.
The scanned information presented on this forum is generally the work of whomever carried out the digitisation - how they permit it to be used and distributed is a matter for the individual - "Copyright" of the original material and text remains with Siemens, but the electronic format is within the gift of the person who took the time to produce it.
The other website in question harvested large quantities of documents from the technical resource area of this group, and published them in an open fashion without seeking permission of the person who spent many hours and considerable sums of money to collect all the original documents.
Speaking personally, I have sent original documents to our archivist that I have purchased and collected, for scanning and upload here, I also have a full set of the Service Manuals for the English Lo3000 - Purchased at a cost of over £200 - I have and will continue to share information with anyone that wants it, but not if they just want to publish it everywhere, or charge a fee.
Whilst there is no "Copyright" claimed or breached, it is at least unfair, and open to be questioned on a moral basis.
I-Telex is a very open community we encourage exchange of information and ideas, and do so in good faith, there is a section of the forum that you do not have access to currently, and this is in place because of others that have harvested huge sections of the site, and have then gone on to produce CDs that were being sold on line. It is not because of so called Gurus, or some hidden agenda, but more to allow the management team of I-Telex, and the Telex archive to gauge use and abuse of a valuable resource.
There is no "right" to doumentation over and above a basic user manual, so your Telefone example is not really a valid argument - Perhaps try asking Apple for a service manual for even an aged IPhone, and see what the response is

Speaking from experience, asking Siemens for information on a 40+ year old device is futile - they do not have it, or if they have it in their archive, then they charge a fee for each page scanned.
Please understand that we as a group want to help you get your T1000 operational, and we welcome you here as our guest, in time, you will gain access to the locked areas of the forum, and we look forward to your ongoing progress reports.
This forum is the only place on the internet with the level of knowledge and experience with Telex Equipment, and the repair and upkeep of these devices to component level, being in an open and public space - the small restrictions on documentation are fair and proportionate to protect what is years of work for a few members.
Now, lets see if we can get your T1000 working, and perhaps you can join in with the much more relaxed 5 bit pace of life
