Connecting Teletype Model 15 to I-TELEX any advice?

The restoration of the 1964 Teletype Model 15 is continuing.

I wonder if a member has connected a similar terminal to I-TELEX, and if there are any areas of advice?
I have the terminal working on about a 55V 60mA loop currently.
I DO understand there is no Answerback, so the terminal would be used typing live.

With piTelex it should be easy to bring it online.
There ist the possibility to set answerback and button-control. That should be good to switch on the Motor and enable it to dial by keystrokes. Also every other function of a Teletype.

I only have the original I-TELEX unit currently. However I do have an interface so I can connect a RS-232C to the teletype,
I presume RS-232C can connect to I-TELEX?

Hi Bambi,

Generally the TW39 card can work, but you may need to check if it is ITA2 or USTTY - the speed of the machine is important. What will you do about a control unit?

The interface can be US TTY or ASCII or ITA2.
My Teletype is running at 50 baud.
