shooting a crime film from 1988 - west and east germany

a crime film is filmed in Prague for german tv, whose story is in east germany in 1988.
they like rft t51 in a wooden cabinet for eastern germany and t1200 for western germany. telex will be sent from east germany to western and possibly vice versa. they like teleprinter, because fax is boring :-)
what do you think about it? There are the correct types of devices, which conditions should i require?

nice, but the Format of the messages was a bit other. Nobody will notice.

you know the right format? I got this format from the film company.
Yes, I have to provide also funcional hardware. The scene will be on my web, therefore must be authentical :-)
